Dolores Dowd Vogel

1935-2021

Dolores Dowd Vogel, co-founder and vice-president emerita of the Dombal-Vogel Foundation, was an advocate for disadvantaged children her entire life. She was a Pre-K assistant at St. Bridget's School in Peapack, NJ where she loved working with children. She was an avid swimmer and acted as the swim instructor at the YMCA in Montclair and as a camp counselor at the CYO camps.

Dolores graduated from The College of St. Elizabeth in 1957 where she received honors and was named to the Dean's list. She was co-editor of the sports column in the college newspaper and received the award for Best Sports Column among colleges on the East Coast. She was elected Chairman of the Senior class musical by the Junior class. She was President of the Athletic Association during her Senior year in college.
